The audiobook is based on Jamie Oliver’s debut children’s fiction novel, Billy and The Giant Adventure. Narrated by Jamie himself, along with the voices of his wife Jools, sons Buddy and River, Dexter Fletcher, and Jason Flemyng, among others, this immersive audio experience promises to transport you into a magical world full of wonder and excitement.
Our team spent six months meticulously recording, designing, and mixing every element of this audiobook to ensure a completely immersive experience for the listener. The characterizations, soundscapes, and environments were built from scratch in ambisonics, which provides a 360-degree sound field. Then, the audio was mixed and mastered in Dolby Atmos, a technology that adds an additional height dimension to sound, allowing the audio to be positioned and moved in 3D space. The result is an immersive audio experience that will take you on a journey like never before.
The audiobook will be released on 13th April 2023 and will be available in Dolby Atmos on Apple Audiobooks and in binaural on Audible. The Dolby Atmos version on Audible will be available later in the year as the platform rolls out Atmos productions.
