Thirty years ago in the State of Texas, Dale Wayne Sigler was sentenced to death for capital murder for a cold-blooded killing he's always admitted to committing.
Now, having spent more than half his life behind bars, Sigler has not only been taken off death row, but he's getting ready to be released into the world he left behind all those years ago.
Brand new true crime, A Killer Uncaged, explores Sigler's reintroduction into society.
Airing on Sky Crime and Netflix from 28th June, the three-part docuseries gains "extraordinary access" to the 53-year-old's incredible story, from inside prison as he prepares to be released and take his first steps into freedom.
Viewers will watch as he's released into the custody of Carole, the 70-year-old prison pen pal he barely knows, and as he begins to adjust to life on the outside - "a world he hardly recognises".
As Sigler is reintegrated into the community, he addresses "the life he took as well as the one he lost" as well as delving into his real motive for committing the brutal crime, which filmmakers call "shockingly different to what the world has always believed it to be."
